We welcome referrals from veterinary practices across Edinburgh, East Lothian and Midlothian for our regenerative and integrative services. Our team will keep you fully informed at every stage, and your client remains in your care.

We accept referrals for all of our regenerative and integrative services.

Rehabilitation & hydrotherapy
Underwater treadmill, Strideway gait analysis, and qualified animal physiotherapists. Ideal for post-operative recovery, orthopaedic conditions, and neurological rehabilitation.
Western veterinary acupuncture
Evidence-based, neurophysiology-led acupuncture used alongside conventional treatment for pain, neurological conditions, and chronic disease.
Stem cell therapy
Autologous adipose-derived stem cell therapy for osteoarthritis and joint disease. The process takes place over approximately three weeks β€” fat harvest, culture at the Veterinary Tissue Bank, and injection into affected joints.
Pain management
Multimodal pain management combining pharmaceutical care, western veterinary acupuncture, hydrotherapy, western veterinary herbal medicine, and nutritional support. Zero Pain Practice.
Western veterinary herbal medicine
Prescribed by Dr Miriam Main for anxiety, musculoskeletal support, liver and digestive conditions, immune support, and chronic disease management.
Nutrition consultations
In-depth nutritional assessment with a written plan, including FEDIAF standard nutritionally balanced recipes for DIY raw or home-cooked diets. Covering all diet types, therapeutic diets, and chronic disease nutritional management.

Send clinical history
Please email clinical notes, lab results, and any prior imaging to [email protected]. For large files β€” imaging studies, video gait assessments, or surgical records β€” please use our secure file upload page.

We book the appointment
We will contact your client directly to arrange their appointment. We aim to see referred patients promptly β€” please let us know if there is any clinical urgency and we will prioritise accordingly.

We keep you informed
A full written report is sent to you following the initial assessment, with updates after significant consultations. Your client remains registered at your practice throughout; we are here to support their care, not to take over it.

Miriam has a wonderfully holistic and flexible approach. My cat is notoriously contrary and quite hyped about everything outside of home, but is always quite confident in Miriam’s room for acupuncture (I am a vet, but there’s nowhere else I would go for complementary care!)
