ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Practice
Designed around cats.
Because cats are different.
Cats are not small dogs. They are stressed by different things, handle differently, and need a completely separate environment. We built TWC with cats in mind from the very beginning โ four dedicated cat-only spaces, and a team experienced in feline-specific care.
Our cat facilities
Four dedicated spaces โ all cat-only
Every cat area is completely separate from the dog areas โ different rooms, different air. No dog scent. No dog noise.
What the accreditation means
ISFM Gold โ the highest standard
The International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Cat Friendly Clinic programme assesses veterinary practices against a rigorous set of standards for feline care. Gold is the highest level โ awarded to practices that go beyond basic cat-friendly measures and demonstrate genuine, embedded commitment to feline wellbeing throughout their environment and clinical approach.
Being assessed and awarded Gold is not a one-time badge. It requires ongoing commitment and is reviewed regularly.
Beyond routine care
Advanced care โ available for cats too
Many owners don't realise that cats can benefit from the same advanced treatments as dogs. At TWC, these services are all available for feline patients.
Making the journey easier
Travel tips for your cat
The journey to the vet is often the most stressful part for a cat. These steps make a real difference.
I was so nervous bringing my cat โ she had been terrified at her previous vet. The cat-only waiting area made such a difference. She was calm enough to actually eat a treat during the examination. That has never happened before.
Common questions
Cat care questions
What does ISFM Gold Cat Friendly Clinic mean?
The International Society of Feline Medicine assesses veterinary practices against a rigorous standard covering facilities, equipment and feline-specific care. Gold is the highest level, and our accreditation is independently assessed.
What cat-only facilities do you have?
Four dedicated spaces: a cat waiting area, a cat consulting room, a cat ward, and a cat isolation ward โ each completely separate from the dog areas.
How can I make the car journey less stressful for my cat?
Leave the carrier out at home so it becomes familiar, add a familiar-smelling blanket, use Feliway in the carrier, cover the carrier in the car, keep things quiet, and allow extra time so nothing is rushed. Tell us if your cat is anxious and we will plan the visit accordingly.
Do you offer advanced treatments for cats?
Yes โ alongside everyday feline care we offer western veterinary acupuncture, stem cell therapy and western veterinary herbal medicine for cats, delivered by a team experienced in feline-specific care.
Ready to book for your cat?
