Why we ask

Home tells the truth. A pet that limps at home will often walk normally in the room — your view of everyday life is the most useful thing we have.
The story matters. When signs started, and how they've changed, helps us tell ongoing pain from other causes.
Short videos help most. Footage of getting up, walking and settling shows us things an examination alone can miss.
