At The Veterinary Wellness Centre, our Pet Wellness Plan is designed to offer comprehensive, convenient and proactive healthcare for your pet — for just £30 a month. These Terms and Conditions explain what's included, how the plan works, and what you agree to by enrolling. They should be read alongside our Terms of Business and Privacy & Cookie Policy.
1. Purpose of the plan
The Pet Wellness Plan is a preventative healthcare membership that covers routine and essential care. It is not an insurance policy. It does not cover treatment for illness, injury, emergency care, surgery, or out-of-hours services unless specified.
2. What's included in the plan
For £30 per month, the plan includes:
- Unlimited routine GP appointments, in person or online, with our vets or nurses;
- All core vaccinations, including Kennel Cough (dogs) and FeLV (cats);
- Tailored care plans, based on your pet's needs and lifestyle;
- Parasite protection, including risk-based flea, tick and worm control;
- Faecal worm egg counts, as clinically appropriate;
- Titre testing, when advised by our veterinary team;
- Direct insurance claims processing, where permitted by your provider.
Services are subject to clinical judgement and scheduling by the veterinary team.
3. Eligibility
- The plan is available to dogs, cats and rabbits registered with The Veterinary Wellness Centre;
- Each pet must be enrolled on their own plan;
- A health assessment may be required before enrolment.
4. Fees and payment
- Cost: £30 per month, per pet, collected via monthly Direct Debit;
- Payments are processed via a secure third-party provider;
- An administration fee may be charged upon joining;
- Missed or failed payments may result in temporary suspension or cancellation of benefits, and/or recovery of payments.
Missed appointments or uncollected treatments do not roll over or reduce monthly charges.
5. Term and renewal
- The plan is a 12-month rolling contract;
- After the initial 12-month term, the plan will automatically renew for a further 12 months, continuing on the same terms and pricing (subject to change with notice — see Section 9);
- Cancellation before the end of any 12-month period will require the client to pay the difference between the value of services used and the total amount paid to date (see Section 6).
6. Cancellation
- You may cancel the plan in writing at any time;
- If cancelled before the end of a 12-month term (including any renewed term), you will be invoiced for the difference between the standard retail value of services used and the payments made up to that point;
- The Practice may cancel the plan at any time with 30 days' notice, or immediately if terms are breached.
7. Client responsibilities
- Clients must attend appointments and collect treatments in a timely manner;
- It is the client's responsibility to provide up-to-date information regarding their pet's health and care needs;
- Personal details, including contact information and payment methods, must be kept up to date;
- Treatments are dispensed at the discretion of the veterinary team and in line with your pet's care plan.
8. Insurance claims
- As part of the plan, we will submit direct insurance claims on your behalf where possible;
- However, the client remains ultimately responsible for payment of all fees, regardless of the outcome or processing time of the insurance claim;
- If an insurance claim remains unpaid after 90 days, the outstanding balance will be charged to the card held on file;
- Failure to maintain a valid payment method on file may result in suspension of your plan.
9. Amendments to the plan
- We reserve the right to update pricing, services or terms;
- You will be given at least 30 days' notice of any changes;
- If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel the plan subject to Section 6.
10. Privacy and data handling
Your data will be stored securely and used in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. By joining the plan, you consent to being contacted about your membership, appointments and relevant pet healthcare matters.
11. Complaints
Any concerns should be addressed to the Practice Manager in writing. If unresolved, you may refer the matter to the Veterinary Client Mediation Service (VCMS).
Thank you for choosing proactive care. Your pet's health and happiness are our priority — by joining our Pet Wellness Plan, you are making a meaningful investment in their long-term wellbeing.
